The Boone girls’ wrestling team defeated Ogden, 48-36, in the Rumble for the River dual meet Monday, January 6, in Boone. 

For the Toreadors, at 135 pounds, Gracie Vodenik pinned Tori Alexander in 1:36. 

At 145 pounds, Natalie Thompson pinned Hannah Wells in 1:24. 

At 155 pounds, Kira Majak pinned Glenda Moody in 2:50. 

At 190 pounds, Cadence Heggen pinned Grace Hammer in 1:32. 

For the Bulldogs, at 120 pounds, Sydney King pinned Averie Strollo in :22. 

At 125 pounds, Sophie Seligman pinned Johanna Meeks in 1:36. 

At 170 pounds, Makayla Alexander pinned Claire Thompson in 1:26. 

Boone will travel to Nevada for a tournament at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, January 9. 

Ogden will host the Ogden Invite at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 11, in Ogden.
