Brody Warrick and Joseph Pestotnik won all 3 of their matches when the Boone boys’ wrestling team faced Winterset, North Polk and West Des Moines Valley Thursday, January 23, in Winterset. 

At 165 pounds, Warrick pinned Sam Adams in North Polk in :56, won by decision over Kahne Kibruz of Winterset, 8-4, and won by technical fall over Austin Hudson of Valley, 15-0. 

At 175 pounds, Pestotnik pinned Mason Ackerman of North Polk in 1:56, pinned Bowen Tadlock of Winterset in 1:24, and beat Alex Shipley of Valley by technical fall, 16-0. 

The Toreadors lost to North Polk, 68-12, lost to Winterset, 69-9, and lost to Valley, 64-16. 

Boone has some time off before the Raccoon River Conference tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Adel-DeSoto-Minburn.
