The Madrid girls’ basketball team lost to West Central Valley, 41-27, in West Central Conference play Friday, January 24, in Stuart.
Laura Eagleton had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Her 12 points came on 5 field goals and 3 3-pointers.
Samantha Springer had 8 points on 3 field goals and 2 3-pointers and 3 assists.
Jillian Olmstead had 6 points on 3 field goals and 3 assists.
Along with 12 rebounds, Eagleton had 1 block and 3 steals.
Lauren Dvorak had 4 rebounds and 1 block and Springer had 4 rebounds and 1 steal.
The Tigers fall to 4-11 overall and 1-9 in the conference while the Wildcats improve to 12-5 overall and 8-3 in the conference.
The Madrid girls’ travel to Gilbertville for a non-conference game against Don Bosco (5-10) at 6 tonight.
