DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has provided updates on potential hazardous winter weather. Light ice accumulation from freezing drizzle will affect much of Iowa beginning in Southern Iowa this morning, then expanding north through the day. The worst conditions are likely this afternoon and evening.
