BOONE, Iowa—The Boone School District has announced that the Boone High School will be closed Friday due to a heating issue in the building. All other school buildings will be open and operating on a regular schedule.
The District made this announcement: Our maintenance team learned tonight that both boilers at Boone High School are malfunctioning. Unfortunately with forecasted overnight temperatures and a mechanical complication of this magnitude, this issue will not be resolved with proper heating restored in time for classes to be held at Boone High School tomorrow. Therefore, classes at Boone High School will be canceled tomorrow, Friday, February 7. ALL other buildings–Ledges, Franklin, Boone Middle School and Crossroads WILL be open and will run their usual schedules.
