BOONE, Iowa—The City of Boone has some substantial water and sewer projects to be completed in the next couple of years. Some of the projects are eligible for block grants. The City’s Utility Committee received proposals and have selected Simmering-Cory to administer the grant application which includes some necessary financial information. Similar survey have been done in the past for successful grants but updated information is needed. Simmering-Cory will have teams collecting the information which will be used to complete the applications for grant funding. The grants will not cover the entire cost of the projects but will help defray the amount that will have to be paid through water and sewer revenue. Surveys are scheduled the last weekend in February and the first weekend in March and will be conducted in select neighborhoods.
