Madrid girls lose to ACGC

The Madrid girls’ basketball team lost to Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, 51-17, Tuesday, February 11 in Madrid, in West Central Conference action. 

Samantha Springer had 6 points on 2 field goals, 1 3-pointer and 1 free throw. 

Rylee Borcherding had 6 points on 2 3-pointers while Laura Eagleton had 3 points on 1 3-pointer. 

Jillian Olmstead had 6 rebounds and 1 steal. 

Lauren Dvorak grabbed 6 rebounds and 2 blocks, and Eagleton had 6 rebounds. 

The Tigers end the regular season at 6-15 overall and 2-13 in the conference. 

Madrid begins Class 1A regionals by playing Orient-Macksburg  (12-8) at 7 p.m. tonight at Orient. 

The game will be broadcast on AM 1590, FM 101.5, and streamed on kwbglive.com with sports director Ryan Wendt on the call.
