DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service Office in Des Moines has updated information about the hazardous weather conditions we are expected to face tonight and tomorrow. Blizzard conditions are expected tonight into Wednesday due to very strong winds gusting to 50-65 mph and accumulating snowfall. High Wind Warnings and Blizzard Warnings are in effect for much of Central, Western, and Northern Iowa. Expect rain today, transitioning to snow tonight as winds increase and colder air surges in. Snow will end from west to east on Wednesday with winds gradually diminishing by late in the day.
