The Jorgensen’s purchased the old YMCA building in December of 23 and have since been working to move forward with their plans to re-open the structure once it’s been rehabilitated. They announced that Boone Bank and Trust Company is supporting the effort which now allows them to move forward making improvements. They have also announced that Tyler Holmes of Boone will provide the expertise in recreational programming and operations. The ground breaking turnout Friday drew about 50-people.
