BOONE, Iowa—Lila Ann Adams, 94, of Boone, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Windsor Manor in Webster City.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Stratford Evangelical Lutheran Church, 824 Teneyck Ave., Stratford, IA 50249, with Rev. Alex Zenk officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. She will be planted at the Mineral Ridge Cemetery, Ridgeport.
Lila Ann Carlson was born November 30, 1930, southeast of Stratford to Carl G. and Ellen (Oliv) Carlson. She attended country school and was a graduate of Stanhope High School in 1949.
Lila was confirmed in the Stratford Evangelical Lutheran Church. On December 3, 1950, she married John Thomas Adams at the Stratford Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Lila enjoyed: gardening, flowers, cooking, baking pies, canning, flea markets, genealogy, scrapbooks, collecting many things and her cats. She loved taking pictures, she always had a camera with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John in 2012; sisters, Eloise Johnson, Dorine Naslund, Eileen McAnally and Helen Edson; brothers, Marvin Carlson and DeWayne Carlson.
Lila is survived by her son, Richard (Marsha) Adams, and children, Derek Adams and Brent Adams; son, RC Ron Adams; daughter, Ronette (Greg) Evenson and children, Johnna (Jason) Toth, Adam Bonnell, and Austin Bonnell; son, Russ (Terri) Adams and children Brock Adams and Drake Adams.
