Emma Wiebold won the discus as the Boone girls track team competed at the Carroll Early Bird meet Thursday, March 27, in Carroll.
Wiebold placed 1st in the discus with a throw of 115-00 and also placed 4th in the shot put with a throw of 34-07.50.
Carly Busch continued to dominate the sprint events and won the 100-meter dash in 12.85, and later in the evening, she placed 1st in the 200-meter dash in 26.30.
Alexis Wheeler placed 2nd in the 100-meter hurdles in 18.10 while Avery Howie was 3rd in 18.68.
The 4×100-meter relay of Taylor Arringdale, Mia Graeve, Howie and Busch placed 2nd in 51.74.
Jen LeMar placed 3rd in the shot put with a throw of 36-03.00 and also was 5th in the discus in 99-03.
The distance medley relay of Noelle Johnson, Mia Graeve, Piper Klein and Bry Morgan placed 3rd in 4:57.60.
Boone placed 4th as a team with 84 points, and Glenwood won the meet with 137 points.

Next week, the Boone girls’ track team runs at Bondurant-Farrar Monday, March 31, and on Thursday, April 3, the Boone girls host the Boone Invite.
