DES MOINES, Iowa—The U.S. Drought Monitor Map this week showed some slight improvement in drought conditions in Iowa. The changes was only a couple of percentage points with Moderate Drought conditions dropping from 33.6% a week ago to 29.3% this week. The majority of the state is covered by Abnormally Dry conditions, which includes Boone County.
