DES MOINES, Iowa—This week’s drought monitor shows an increase in Abnormally Dry conditions in Iowa, up about 7% from the previous week. The increase occurred over Southern Iowa, southeast of the Des Moines Metro area and stretching into Missouri. Actual Moderate Drought conditions were only slightly affected up 2/10ths of a percent. Locally, Central Iowa remains in the Abnormally Dry designation.
