The Boone girls’ soccer team tied Perry, 1-1, as the boys’ team lost to Newton, 2-1, Friday, April 18.
The girls hosted Perry, and each team scored 1 goal in the second half.
Emma Thomas scored the goal, her 9th of the season.
Ava Johnson had 12 saves.
Boone’s record stands at 2-3-2 and Perry is at 3-3-2.
Boys fall to Newton
The Boone boys were tied with Newton, 1-1, at the half, but Newton scored 1 goal in the 2nd half to win, 2-1.
Dylan Bolton scored the goal, his 2nd of the season.
Ben Seligman had 4 saves.
Boone falls to 2-1-2, and Newton is 2-4-4.
The boys host Gilbert (3-0-1) at Goeppinger Filed this afternoon.
The girls travel to Class 1A, No. 8 Gilbert, (3-2-1) this afternoon.
