Boone boys’ soccer tops teams in tourney

The Boone boys’ soccer team beat Grinnell, 4-2, and Panorama, 5-1, as it hosted a tournament Saturday, April 26, at Goeppinger Field. 

Against Grinnell, the Toreadors were up, 3-1, at the half and each team scored 1 goal in the 2nd half to end the game, 4-2. 

Davide Ioppolo scored 3 goals for the Toreadors, and Blake Gradoville scored 1 goal. 

Holden Davis and Tristan Bierwagen each had 1 assist. 

Ben Seligman had 7 saves. 

Against Panorama, Boone was ahead, 4-1, at halftime and scored another goal in the 2nd half. 

Gradoville had 4 goals, and Bierwagen had 1. 

Ioppolo had 1 assist, and Seligman had 6 saves. 

Teams fall to Bondurant-Farrar 

On Friday, April 25, the boys fell at Bondurant-Farrar, 6-0. 

Additionally, the girls lost to No. 11 Bondurant-Farrar, 5-0, at Goeppinger Field. 

The boys are currently 4-3-2, and the girls are 2-5-2. 

The boys travel to Carroll (3-5) Tuesday, April 29, while the girls host Carroll (1-6) at Goeppinger Field.
