Justin Grieff, Project Coordinator, Beaver Creek Watershed Management Authority, talks about new opportunities created by participation in a new Water Quality Initiative partnership. Grieff says a number of projects had been done over the past couple of years, but the new opportunities will allow landowners looking to get projects done a new chance to look at things again. Eli Stines, Boone Mayor talks about the recent Boone City Council meeting. The Council approved an adjustment for the allocation of Local Option Sales Tax Funds for the Airport Commission to apply those for the on going Fuel Farm Project. The Council was also updated on issues the Waste Water Treatment Plant in McHose Park and some of the projects affecting that facility. Stines also noted the City will be receiving a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant for the planned ground storage tank rehabilitation project. Aired Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
