DAYTON, Iowa—The Celebration Committee of the Dayton Rodeo has announced that Bethany Jo Thurston will be presenting the Iowa flag at the annual Dayton Rodeo, September 3rd thru the 6th. Thursday says her love for the sport of rodeo and skill set as a welder have taken her from the Badlands of North Dakota to the stockyards of Central Texas. She says “The great state of Iowa has always welcomed me home with open arms and I’m proud to present to you the Iowa flag.”
Thurston has been a long time Dayton Wranglers member. She is the proud mother of two-year-old Bodey Wade Thompson and a welder for Midstate Material Handling and Fabrication in Nevada, Iowa.
