Seven Sworn In at Tuesday’s Council Meeting

BOONE, Iowa—The Oath of Office was delivered to seven people elected or re-elected during last Novembers municipal election.  Boone Mayor John Slight took the office for another 2-year term.  Fifth Ward Council member Greg Piklapp took the oath for another four-year term.  New to the Council are Third Ward Council member Elijah Stines and Holly Stecker, one of two At-Large Council members.  Both were elected to four-year terms.  Council member David Byrd, also elected last November, was sworn in and took over the First Ward Council seat following the canvas of the November election results.

Also taking the Oath of Office Monday were three elected to serve on the Boone Park Commission.  Sworn in for four-year terms were Amy Landas and Everett Johnson, both re-elected and Amy Pollard who won on write in votes last November.
