BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Parks Department does have the John Hansen Memorial Ice Rink open for skating, but the warming house and skate rentals are not available because no volunteers have come forward to help. Those that wish to skate will be skating at their own risk. Lights for the skate rink will be on until 9:00 PM at night.
Those interested in volunteering to help staff the warming house must fill out and return a Background check to City Hall Parks Department or
email your form to jmeimann@city.boone.ia.us . Any questions may be directed to Julie at 515-432-4211 x 1129 your background check will have to be approved before you can volunteer.
