BOONE, Iowa—State Representative Chip Baltimore said he will not be seeking another term in the Iowa House of Representatives. Baltimore, on the KWBG News and Public Affairs Program “Tuned In” said he had decided some time ago that this would be his last term in the state house. Baltimore said it’s time to let someone else represent the great people of the district.
Baltimore said that he spent 5-years as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and he feels good about what the committee accomplished and overall what was accomplished at the capitol.
Baltimore said he has also appreciated all the support he’s received during his time representing the district.
Baltimore was first elected to the Iowa House in November 2010. The current 47th District includes the western portion of Boone County and Greene County. In January, Baltimore was charged with a first offense OWI and a weapons violation following an early morning traffic stop in Ames, Iowa. He subsequently pled guilty to those charges.
