On Thursday, representatives from Fareway Stores, Inc. were pleased to present a check for $163,553.51 to help fight muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases. All but $665 of that donation came from customers during the Shamrock fundraising program. The remainder was from a Jeans Day promotion held at the corporate office.
