World famous opera singer Simon Estes sang the National Anthem at the DMACC Commencement ceremony held at Wells Fargo Arena for their Des Moines campuses. Seconds after singing the national anthem, DMACC President Rob Denson invited Estes to the stage to receive a DMACC Honorary degree from DMACC Board Chair Joe Pugel and Denson.

On Friday morning at 10, the Boone Campus will have its commencement ceremonies on their own campus.  Provost Drew Nelson will preside over the ceremony with DMACC Boone Campus Liberal Arts student Aubrey Schmitt giving the welcome, and former Des Moines Mayor Preston Daniels providing the address.  A nurse pinning ceremony will follow commencement, and it will be in the DMACC, Boone Campus auditorium.
