BOONE, Iowa—Boone Police have released information about an investigation begun over the Memorial Day weekend. In a press released from the Boone Police Department Thursday, Commander John Sloter report that charges were filed against six juveniles:
On May 26, 2018 the Boone Police Department began investigating a criminal mischief case which took place at Goeppinger Field. The suspects forced the press box door open and then spray painted the interior of the press box. The total damage caused was approximately $3,600.00.
Through the course of the investigation, six juveniles were identified as suspects and were subsequently charged and released to a responsible adult.
Juvenile male age 15 of Boone. Charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd and Criminal Trespass.
Juvenile male age 15 of Paton. Charged with Criminal Trespass.
Juvenile male age 14 of Boone. Charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd and Criminal Trespass.
Juvenile male age 13 of Boone. Charged with Criminal Trespass.
Juvenile male age 12 of Boone. Charged with Criminal Trespass.
Juvenile male age 11 of Boone. Charged with Criminal Trespass.
Sloter emphasized that an arrest or the filing of charges is not an indication of guilt.
