Fareway Bakers Sweep Cake Competition At Iowa State Fair, Bring Home Best in Show

BOONE, Iowa—Fareway Stores, Inc. recently announced that bakery personnel from across the state competed in the Food Competition at the Iowa State Fair. Fareway cake decorators entered original bakery creations in several categories:

“We are very excited that for the first time, in addition to placing in all classes, our decorators placed in the Overall Commercial Class and took home Best of Show,” said Amanda Munson, Fareway Bakery Sales Specialist. “To place in competition at the Iowa State Fair is one of the highest honors, and we couldn’t be more proud of our bakery staff for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to creativity.”

All cakes will be on display in the Elwell Family Food Center through the duration of the Iowa State Fair.
