City/County Repaving Surprises Many on Morning Commute

Posted on 17 September 2018 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Quite a few people headed out of town Monday morning had a startling discovery when Mamie Eisenhower Avenue/210th Street at Quartz Avenue was blocked off for repaving.  The announcements that the intersection would be closed to through traffic was made late last week, but there were still a couple of pretty good delays as a result.  Many attempted to take Corporal Snedden Drive but had difficulty getting onto US Highway 30.

The plan is to have the intersection closed for possibly three days, weather permitting.
