BOONE, IA – On Tuesday morning, representatives from the City of Boone, the Chamber Ambassadors, and Fareway Meat and Grocery gathered to welcome Boulders Inn & Suites and Fareway Conference Center to Boone.
The hotel has been hosting guests since August, but Tuesday was the official ribbon cutting. In addition to 40 guest rooms,
the Boulders Inn & Suites boasts a conference center that will hold 400 guests. Fareway Meat and Grocery, which has its
home office in Boone, has been a key partner in the development of this event space. In fact, the meeting rooms, which can
be opened in to one large space, were named with Fareway’s input. The “Story Street” room is, of course, named for Boone’s
entry into town; “The Pioneer Room” is in honor of Fareway’s founders; and, “The Market Room” is a nod to the legendary meat
market in each of Fareway’s stores.
Boulders Development was first introduced in 2008 in Denison, Iowa. Since 2008, the company has expanded,
adding several hotels across Iowa and Missouri, including the Des Moines area.
Attendees from Boulders Inn & Suites: Tim Stuart, one of the founders; Julie Swigart, manager of the Boone location; Angie Davis and Carol Juarez from Boone; District Managers Julie Hellman and Wendy Hathaway; and Nate Houston, Project Manager.
