BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Community Endowment Fund Board will be hosting their annual Endowment Fund Informational Meeting on Tuesday, January 15th from Noon-until-1:00 p.m. at the Boone County ISU Extension and Outreach Office at 1327 SE Marshall Street in Boone. Board members have a goal for the meeting of providing possible applicants for grant funding with the tools needed to complete the endowment fund application process.
Board representatives will cover the history of the Boone County Endowment Fund, reviewing the scope of applications that have been received and funded over the years, reviewing the upcoming application process, review the timeline for grant acceptance and approval and hold a discussion of what makes an excellent grant application. There will also be a review of what’s needed for a project to be completed and the documentation required for completion.
Last year, 30 Boone County organizations were awarded close to $139,000 in grant money. The total grant award this year is expected to be a similar amount.
