BOONE, Iowa—A funeral service has been set for 88-year old Ken Carstensen of Boone, Iowa.  The service will be held Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, Sixth and Marshall Streets, Boone, Iowa.  Following the service, Military Honors, conducted by the Boone Veterans Council, will be performed at the Veterans Monument in the Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone, Iowa.  Ken’s body will then be cremated.  Burial of the cremated remains will be held in the Boone Memorial Gardens of Boone, Iowa at a later date.

Visitation will be held at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets, Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  The family will be present and will receive friends at the Funeral Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Visitation continues Friday when friends may call at the Funeral Chapel from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
