BOONE, Iowa—Nathan MacDougall was sworn in Monday as the newest member of the Boone Police Department. MacDougall is already a certified officer and has begun his initial training with the department. Boone Police Chief John Wiebold says MacDougall fills a vacancy created when Officer Mario Gonzalez changed from a full-time position to a part-time position. Wiebold says Officer Connor McCuen has accepted a position with the West Des Moines Police Department.
