BOONE, Iowa—Nearly 600 write in votes were cast Tuesday’s election to fill two Park Commissioner seats on the Boone Park Board. April Burch and Emily Coll are the apparent winners with 124 and 100 write in votes respectively. Incumbent Park Commissioners Taylor Tidgren and Brenda Wafful received 89 and 43 write ins respectively. Others receiving votes were Jonathan Metcalf with 42 write ins and Todd Rassmussen with 34. These results are unofficial until canvassed by the Boone County Board of Supervisors, currently scheduled for Wednesday, November 13th at 1:00 p.m.
