ANKENY, Iowa—Five DMACC members of the Board of Directors were successfully re-elected to the nine-member board in the November election. All ran unopposed and will serve their four-year term through 2023.
The newly re-elected board members include:
· Felix Gallagher of Des Moines
· Denny Presnall of Ankeny
· Madelyn Tursi of Des Moines
· Cheryl Langston of Ames
· Fred Greiner of Boone
“The DMACC Board of Trustees performs an invaluable service to the College and the communities they serve, yet they don’t get a lot of public recognition for their many hours of service,” said Rob Denson, DMACC President. “We’re happy with the election outcome and look forward to their continued guidance and counsel.”
The board members meet on the second Monday of every month. Some of their responsibilities include setting policy, creating a positive climate and culture, monitoring performance, and being an advocate for the College.
The other four members who were not up for re-election include: Board Chair Joe Pugel of Newton, Board Vice Chair Kevin Halterman of Indianola, Jim Knott of Carroll and Fred Buie of Des Moines.
