BOONE, Iowa—The Boone School Board Monday night took a moment to recognize the most recent ‘DORS Award recipient.  Julie Leaf has worked in the Food Service Department of the Boone Community School District for more than 20-years and has most recently been the Manager at the High School.  Lori King, Food Service Director and Kris Byam, High School Principal nominated Leaf for her years of service but especially for the impact she’s had at the High School in the last couple of years.  King noted that student participation at the high school is at an all time high.  The ‘DORS Award is given for “Dedicated, Outstanding and Respected Service” to the staff, students and patrons of the Boone Community School District.
