Human Service Council “Feel The Love” Food Drive This Week

Posted on 03 February 2020 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Human Services Council invites the public to participate in the second annual ‘Feel the Love’ food drive this February. Typically, there is a lull in donations after the holidays, so this initiative hopes to replenish our local food pantries. Donations will be accepted February 3 rd through the 7th and will be distributed to Boone IMPACT Community Action, Boone Salvation Army, Boone High School and Boone DMACC food pantries that serve the citizens of Boone County.

The pantries’ most needed items are meals (canned stew, chili, soup), tuna and canned meat, peanut butter, low sugar cereals, 100% fruit juices, canned fruit packed in juice and low salt canned vegetables.

Non-perishable food items and/or cash donations will be accepted at the following locations during the drive:

Boone County DHS Building: 900 W 3rd Street, Boone
Boone County Probation and YSS Office, 105 S Marshall Street, Boone
Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity, 720 Story Street, Boone
Boone County ISU Extension, 1327 SE Marshall Street, Boone
DMACC Business Office, 1125 Hancock Drive, Boone
