BOONE, Iowa—The United School Board will have a ballot question for voters in the March 3rd Special Election. For United, the ballot is simply the updated Revenue Purpose Statement needed to continue to use the State of Iowa Secure and Advanced Vision Education Fund or SAVE. SAVE is the state’s one-cent sales tax distributed to schools for specific purposes. The Revenue Purpose Statement is a requirement to receive those funds.
The Boone County Auditor’s Office released the official announcement for the Special Election this week.
