United School District Has Revenue Purpose Statement Ballot for March 3rd Special Election

Posted on 13 February 2020 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The United School Board will have a ballot question for voters in the March 3rd Special Election.  For United, the ballot is simply the updated Revenue Purpose Statement needed to continue to use the State of Iowa Secure and Advanced Vision Education Fund or SAVE.  SAVE is the state’s one-cent sales tax distributed to schools for specific purposes.  The Revenue Purpose Statement is a requirement to receive those funds.

The Boone County Auditor’s Office released the official announcement for the Special Election this week.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to the qualified electors of United Community School District, in the County of Boone, the State of Iowa, that a special election of said School District has been called for Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at which the voters will vote on the following public measure:

The polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. on said day.

Any voter who is physically unable to enter a polling place has the right to vote in the voter’s vehicle. For further information, please contact the county auditor’s office at 433-0502.

In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and the seal of Boone County, State of Iowa, this 10th Day of February, 2020.
