BOONE, Iowa—The Boone School Board took time during their meeting Monday to recognize staff member Olga Gonzalez with the monthly ‘DORS Award. ‘DORS stands for Dedicated, Outstanding, Respected Service by a staff member to the district employees, patrons and students. Gonzalez was nominated by Franklin Principal Brad Winter and Page and Lincoln Principal Autumn Seiler. Gonzalez is a Special Education Associate at Franklin and also provides translation services at the elementary level. Winter told the board that Gonzalez always presents a positive attitude and is a great advocate for the district.
