Boone County Supervisors to Continue Courthouse Restrictions Due to COVID-19

KWBG 04/09/20

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Board of Supervisors  continue to closely follow the latest developments on the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation to ensure the health and safety of our community and to help ensure the actions we are taking are in line with the latest Iowa Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations and guidance. Boone County Board of Supervisors are working closely with other community leaders as the COVID-19 virus outbreak is updated.

Boone County has enacted the following for the Boone County Court House .

The public will have limited access to the Boone County Court House as defined by Board Policy.  Each Office/Department with in the Court House will be limited.  Departments will have contact information posted outside their offices with general information on how their offices will be operating during this time of Covid-19. Information is also available on our Web page.  We expect this to stay in effect thru April 30, 2020 but is subject to change.  Boone County offers many of its services online and strongly encourages residents to use online services when possible. We would like to encourage residents also to call and see if we can help you over the phone and/or send information to you by email or US mail. County employees are still here to help and answer any questions you may have. Our focus is on both containing the spread of the virus and mitigating its potential impact to protect the Citizens of Boone County while still providing the services that we have all come to expect.

As information about COVID-19 continues to evolve, it is important to stay informed and get information from trusted sources. For the most up to date information on COVID-19 please refer to Iowa Public Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Please also visit Boone County Web site for updates on County services and Court House hours. www.boonecounty.iowa.gov
