On April 6th, the Boone City Council took formal action to suspend open burning until further notice due to COVID-19. The Boone City Newsletter that was included with the most recent utility bills from the city includes information regarding open burning. However, the newsletter was printed prior to the Council’s action. So open burning of yard waste in the city of Boone is not permitted at this time. The matter will be revisited by the Council at a later date.
