BOONE, Iowa—The Iowa Department of Public Health has reported another increase of 279 positive COVID-19 cases in Iowa bringin the state’s total number of cases to 14,328. At the same time the number of recovered cases has also increased to 6,927. There were however, 10 additional deaths to report, bringing that total to 346.
Locally, Boone County did not change with Saturday’s numbers. There have still be 41 positive cases in Boone County. Testing in the county did jump quite a bit in the past couple of days, reaching 888 tests. A total of 18 patients had recovered and none were hospitalized locally.
The only neighboring counties with increases were Polk County where an additional 78 cases were reported. Dallas County had an increase of 16 and Story County’s total increase by 2 to 75 total. Greene, Hamilton and Webster Counties remained unchanged.
