Boone County Emergency Management is asking for the public’s help as clean up from this morning’s storm continues. Multiple counties in Central Iowa are reporting significant impact, including power outages, structural damage and lots of debris. With that, emergency officials and the power companies are working to restore electricity and clear public roadways.
The best way to help them with that effort is to stay out of their way so that they can work. If you absolutely need to travel, please be aware that there will most likely be challenges along your normal routes. When possible, please remain where you are to lessen the congestion on the streets.
