Boone Public Works Begins Last Pass Through City to Pick Up Tree Debris

Posted on 15 September 2020 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—After the rain from last week, weather conditions this week are making it ideal for Boone Public Works to conduct it’s second trip through the city to pick up storm damage, tree debris.  Residents that have debris from the August wind storm are encouraged to move it to the parking, the area between the sidewalk and curb, for city personnel to remove.  Public works encourages people not to park in front of debris in the parking.  Boone Mayor John Slight said last week city personnel will not enter alley’s to pick up debris in people’s back yards due to insurance and liability concerns.   Also, they will not be picking up small piles of leaves and sticks that are raked up and left in the parking.
