BOONE, Iowa—It’s the season and the Boone County Sheriff’s Office-911 Center and Boone County Search and Rescue are ready for their third season of making turkey dinners available in Boone County this Thanksgiving.
Third Annual Turkeys From 911
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office – 911 Center is collaborating with Boone County Search and Rescue to provide Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets to families in need. We are prepared to provide the items necessary for these baskets, but would like to give the public an opportunity to be involved and donate, if they wish.
*Due to the threat and concern of COVID-19, please be sure that the items donated are sealed, canned, etc. so we can properly sanitize prior to delivery.
Items Needed for a Basket:
*Laundry Basket * Turkey *Turkey Pan *Napkins / Paper Towels
*Mashed Potatoes *Gravy *Stuffing *Cranberry Sauce
*Green Beans / Corn / Canned Mixed Vegetables *Rolls / Bread / Dry Mix
*Pie / Desserts / Whipped Cream *Kool-Aid / Coffee / Drinks
*Sanitizer / Wipes, etc.
Baskets will be delivered on Thursday November 19, 2020.
Please have any and all donated items dropped off to the
Boone County Sheriff’s Office (1019 W Mamie Eisenhower Ave, Boone) by Monday November 16th, 2020, there is a drop off box in our lobby.
