BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a new staff member has officially joined the team. As of Monday, February 15, Mallory Mileham started her role as the Chamber’s Communications and Events Coordinator.
In her new position, Mileham will create various marketing materials such as ads, fliers, and brochures and manage the Chamber’s websites and social media channels. She will also help plan and execute various events throughout the year including the Ag Omelet Breakfast, the Golf Classic, and Pufferbilly Days™. Mileham is excited to join the team and utilize her skills in content creation, writing, and design.
Mileham is also looking forward to the event planning side of her position. She dove right into planning and organizing for the upcoming Ag Omelet Breakfast on Thursday, March 4th from 6 am to 9 am. She has also begun preparation for the Golf Classic and Pufferbilly days™.
Originally from Fort Dodge, Mileham graduated from the University of Iowa in 2015 with her bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication and psychology. “I loved school,” said Mileham. “Some of my favorite classes were social media management and biological psychology,” she added. Mileham has previously worked as a content creator for the UI Department of Psychology. She has been working as a wedding videographer and photographer for the last five years and loves being behind the camera.
