BOONE, Iowa—The Water Environment Station at McHose Park in Boone recorded 1.16″ of rain in the past 24 hours as of 8:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. The monthly total for March at that time is 2.53″ of moisture which is about what is expected. The Weekly Drought Monitor last week showed some improvement in the condition in Boone County but there’s still shortage moisture dating back to last year.
