BOONE, Iowa—Funeral arrangements have been set for 94 year old Iline Cleo (Welch) Westberg of Boone, Iowa.  She passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Boone County Hospital, Boone, Iowa. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church in Boone. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service. Masks will be required and social distancing will be place for services. Private burial will be held for immediate family.

Iline was born on February 6, 1927 in Dayton, IA, the daughter of Lorenzo and Lena (Ubben) Welch. She graduated from Boone High School in 1944.

Iline was united in marriage with Donald M. Westberg on May 12, 1945. From this union were three children, Roger, Linda, and Rick. She was a proud mother and her favorite job was to take care of her family and her home.

Iline was a member of First United Methodist Church in Boone. She was active in the United Methodist Women and loved to volunteer for projects and activities. Over the years, she was involved in helping with funeral luncheons, serving summer meals to children, various bazaars, and helping with the monthly church newsletter. She was always willing to help her family whenever they needed a helping hand.

Iline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2013; brothers, Bernard and Vern Welch; brother-in-law, Virgil; and sister-in-law, Twila. She is survived by her sons, Roger and his wife Linda “Liz” of Boone and Rick and wife Joy of Cleveland, MO; daughter, Linda and husband Tom Wilhite of Algona; grandchildren, Leah Wilhite of Algona, Katie Melvin and husband Tony of LeMars, and Todd Westberg and wife Karrie of Ankeny; great-children, Elijah Wilhite, Karter and Grasyn Melvin, Aliza Lorraine and Alivia Iline Westberg; brothers-in-law, Charles and wife Barb Westberg, Gerald and wife Donna Westberg, all of Boone; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. Online condolences may be left to Iline’s family at www.schroedermemorialchapel.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Iline Westberg Family.
