OGDEN, Iowa—Kerry B. Hannan, age 56 of Ogden, gained his angel wings on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines.
A memorial service will be held at the Ogden Baptist Church, 619 North West 2nd Street, Ogden, Iowa on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service at the church.
Kerry Brian Hannan was born in Maine on May 20, 1964, the son of Edward Hannan Sr. and Roberta (Lattabee) Hannan. He graduated from Job Corps in 1984.
Kerry earned his certification and worked as a CNA after graduation. In the early 2000s he moved to Iowa with some friends, and then he began working as a cabdriver. Kerry was currently a counselor at the Rose Center in Boone. He loved people and to get to know them. He would embarrass Debbie sometimes by all his talking out in public. He would say, “Hello, young woman or man” to all the elderly at Walmart.
Kerry was united in marriage with Debra Faux on May 7, 2016 in Lenox, IA. He always loved to say to Debbie, “Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by you again?”
Kerry enjoyed watching WWE, playing cribbage, listening to music especially Meat Loaf and contemporary Christian music, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Kerry was preceded in death by his mom and dad; and daughter, Bethany Hannan in 2021. He is survived by his wife, Debbie of Ogden; daughters, Colleen, Sarah, Donna, and Danielle; brothers, Patrick Hannan, Edward Hannan, and Aaron Ricker, all of Maine; sisters, Myra Fecteau of Maine, Kelly Cross of New Hampshire, Colleen Laflamme of Maine; sister-in-law, Rose Fowler; brother-in-law, Ronnie Faux and Randy (Dottie) Faux; 2 grandchildren; and numerous friends.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. Online condolences may be left to Kerry’s family at www.schroedermemorialchapel.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Kerry Hannan Family.
