BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the Pufferbilly Days™ festival will return to Boone for its 44th celebration August 6-8, 2021. This year’s theme, “Back on Track!”, reflects the community’s excitement around the return of the festival’s traditional events after the 2020 celebration was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 2021 festival will officially kick off with Opening Ceremonies, taking place in conjunction with the First Thursday’s! concert at the city’s newly dedicated 8th & Story Greenspace on Thursday, August 5. The weekend’s events and entertainment will include traditional favorites like the parade, carnival, mud volleyball tournament, classic car show, photo contest, 5k/10k run, arts and crafts show, church service, bingo, bags tournament, spelling bee, spike driving contest, pet show, food court, brat stand, beer tent and live music at the mainstage on Friday and Saturday night, and more.
Additional information including the weekend’s full schedule of events will be available at www.PufferbillyDays.com in the coming weeks. If you are interested in volunteering and would like to get involved with Pufferbilly Days™ please reach out to Laura Bade at events@booneiowa.us or call 515-432-3342.
