DES MOINES, Iowa—The weekly Drought Monitor information was released Tuesday and the National Weather Service office in Des Moines released the data Thursday. There was a slight increase of 1% in abnormally dry conditions in Iowa. Both the moderate and severe areas declined about 1.5% while the extreme drought area increased by only a few tenths of a percent.
