BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Fire Department, 923 8th Street, is teaming up with multiple agencies to present a Memorial Event and Community Breakfast recognizing 9-11. Fire Fighters from Boone and Ogden, Police Departments for Boone and Ogden, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Boone County Communication Center Dispatchers, Boone County Emergency Management and the National Guard are going to be service up a pancake breakfast free of charge, Saturday morning from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The free breakfast the result of a generous donation from Fareway Stores, Inc.
The agencies taking part in the memorial will be taking time throughout the morning to honor their brothers and sisters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001. The public is welcome to join everyone at the Boone Fire Department on Saturday, September 11th from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. to help ensure that we #NeverForget the sacrifices made on that day and in the years beyond.
