BOONE, Iowa—Funeral arrangements are planned for 35 year old Mark Johannes Christensen of Boone, Iowa. He passed away at his home Monday, September 6, 2021.

Mark was born in Ames, IA on January 15, 1986, the beloved son of David and Dianna Christensen.

Mark lived in Boone his entire life and graduated from Boone High School in 2004.

Mark enjoyed reading and watching science fiction and goose hunting. He had fond memories of the fishing trips he took to Canada as a boy with his father David, grandfather John, brother Eric, and his uncle Mark.

Mark was always trying to make others happy and was there for family and friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ruth Christensen of Boone and Howard and Louise Martin of Jewell, IA.

Mark is survived by his parents, David and Dianna (Martin) Christensen of Boone; One brother, Eric (April) Christensen, nephew Cael John Christensen, and niece Kendyl Grace Christensen, all of Grand Rapids, MN; along with several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

After cremation, there will be a private family graveside service at Boone Memorial Gardens on a later date yet to be determined.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone.
