Slight Increase in Abnormally Dry Conditions in Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa—The weekly U.S. Drought Monitor shows an increase in abnormally dry conditions by about 8%. Last week, just over 30% had no drought condition. That number fell to just over 22%. There were no changes in moderate or severe drought areas.

Boone County is almost entirely in a moderate drought conditions at the present time. Unchanged from the last week. Story and Marshall Counties have some severe drought areas, which extend to the northeast.
